Live Blogging the Lost Premiere -- "Never say never dude"

First of all, I was promised a two-hour season premiere, not a damn one-hour season premiere after a one-hour Lost primer...I won't get fooled again. I swear...so it sounds like we are only getting eight episodes in this part of the season because of the writers strike...[sigh]

9:01pm: Okay, here we go..."Previously on Lost"...that has got to be J.K. Simmons doing the voice over...don't know for sure.

First scene...a bunch of fruit...interesting...okay, it's Jack's story [off the island]...I am guessing it's Sawyer in the car....

9:02pm: Nope...it's Hurley......awesome...well, not so much for Hurley...

"I'm one of the Oceanic Six"...early prediction during the commercial break:

1. Jack
2. Kate
3. Hurley
4. Ben
5 & 6. Michael & Walt

9:06pm: I guess it is now a Hurley's story...denies knowing Ana-Lucia...interesting...

9:10pm: Now it's getting good...Ben & Rousseau plotting...oops...that didn't last long...

9:13pm: The gang finds out about Charlie...sad

9:22pm: "I'm an attorney from Oceanic Airlines."

9:25pm: Hurley finds Jacob's house..."uh oh..."

9:44pm: Stop the presses, Charlie is not dead....wait...he is dead....I'm confused...so it was all in Hugo's mind again...and you know, since we are on the topic, if in the end it [being the entire Lost series] had been all in Hugo's mind I would totally fine with that...

9:54pm: Hurley stands up to Jack and again Hugo demonstrates that he is the heart and soul of this show...

9:56pm: Sawyer chooses Locke's side...and we are back to there being two groups of survivors as in Season 2...

9:57pm: A now for the big reveal...Jack and Hurley meet off the island...and talk about their new life...Jack is "thinking about growing a beard" so we are before the final scene of last season with Jack's mountain man beard...Hugo wants to know why Jack came to see him in the institution "To see if I was going to tell" Tell "what" is the question of the season I guess?

A Hurley apologies for going with Locke...Jack says he is never going back to the island...Hurley repleys: "Never say never dude." Definitely words to live by...
