Life On Mars [American Style]

Word came down today that ABC is really going to go forward with the American remake of the British drama series Life on Mars. I am hyper-sceptical about the chances that this will be anything close to the greatness of the original series. Although I have a lot of frustrations with how the BBC series ended and how the plot line was essentially abandoned for the follow-up series Ashes to Ashes, it still was probably the best cop drama I've seen since Homicide...not to even the best soundtrack to a cop drama ever.

The Last Shadow Puppets

If I get through this post without calling this band the "The Last of the Shadow Puppets" it will be a miracle....They are instead The Last Shadow Puppets and are a sort of side project of the Arctic Monkey's leader Alex Turner and some other guy who is popular in England...to say that it is much different from the Arctic Monkeys would be a dirty lie. If you like them, you will like this.

On Friday, the Air Force admitted that, whoops, we really did fly nuclear bombs from North Dakota to Louisiana and then parked the plane on the runway for 36 hours with bombs unsecured...yeeesh...
