I'm chiming in a little bit late on the whole Mitchell Report thing but my take on it is that it demonstrated that steroids helped a bunch of "below average" players get to "average." Beyond that there isn't too much to be said in that the report relied upon so few sources that came forward and "spilled the beans" so to speak.
