New Easy Street Murals

At my favorite record store in Seattle, Easy Street Records, they have four huge murals out front and when I went yesterday, three of them were new ones...and yes, it does look like Seattle's premiere music fest is now called "Bumbershit."

Suprise

I am in the Health Care Administration graduate program at the University of Washington but still this article really surprised me and I wonder how accurate it really is...I personally have not met a Republican who supports a single-payer system but if true it is a huge shift and one that may be larger than the changing few of gay marriage and homosexuality in general...

Draft Day

I am sure Seattle news isn't really that different than any were else but the Emerald City can't stop talking about the NBA draft last night...The Sonics had the #2 pick and we traded our best player for the #5 pick...I think that this has the potential to be a great draft for us in a few years but I am not so sure what the impact will be on having the Sonics stay in Seattle and not more to Oklahoma City (home of your new owner)...

This year I went to two Sonics games this season, matching my life time NBA game total...the 2nd game was against the Cleveland Caveliers and Lebron James on their way to the NBA Finals...

New Ryan Adams

I picked up Ryan Adams' new CD Easy Tiger last night and been trying to listen to it all the way through once but things keep getting in the way...my job, sleeping, short car trips, short attention span...I particularly love the song "Halloween Head" (the one where Adams shoots "Guitar solo") so far and overall my favorite Adams songs are in the the style of his Rock 'n' Roll album...with the notable exception of "Tennessee Sucks" from Demolition...I think I might be the only person who feels that R&R was his best (although I seem to remember Blender giving it 5 stars)...

Ratings:

Entire Album: It's too soon

"Halloween Head": Theodore Roosevelt (It's carrying a big stick...and a guitar solo).
